We gather most Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Lake Fretwell Park. No experience is necessary — we love sharing our knowledge, and there’s a perfect fit for every skill level. Come see what we’re building, meet the crew, and get your hands dirty. We look forward to seeing you at the railroad!

Work alongside our trained engineers and conductors during ride events. Learn train operations and safety protocols while engaging with guests and sharing your enthusiasm for railroading.

Help keep the railroad running smoothly by assisting with the upkeep and restoration of rolling stock and station facilities. Work with tools and equipment under the guidance of experienced volunteers, and gain practical skills in mechanical repairs, carpentry, and more.

Help plan and run our special events — community festivals, holiday train runs, themed rides, and more. Coordinate activities, assist guests, and help make every event a memorable one.
